New Zealand Beach Scene, shot on Nikon D3 and processed on Lightroom 4

I really like the simplicity and horizontal structure of this image. I used the brush tool to increase the glow of the sun and added some negative clarity to soften the glow. There was a tenacity to over saturate this image but I decide to reduce the vibrancy and try and create a more subtle effect to the sky and foreground. Generally I was pleased with the final results, the high res image has a lot of detail in the waves and figure which will be great if it gets printed. CLICK HERE to learn more about Adobe Lightroom. Bird in flight, shot with a Nikon D3 and processed with Lightroom 4

I shot this bird image from a cliff above Muriwai beach in Auckland New Zealand. I was quite proud of myself for actually getting it in focus! I used Lightroom 4 to enhance the background and color palette. The main processing used some of the new features in the gradient filter palette by selectively changing the color temperature of parts of the image. CLICK HERE to learn more about Adobe Lightroom. Sunrise landscape, shot on Nikon D3 with a 60mm Nikon lens, processed with Lightroom.

I caught this early morning sunrise in Queenstown New Zealand while I was having breakfast. I really like the serene feeling of this shot, the jetty adds a nice graphic element to the overall image. I used Lightroom to enhance the sunrise light source - I did this by brushing over the sunrise and the horizon reflection on the water. I then brightened up this area and slightly defocused it to help make it more subtle. The defocused area was achieved by using negative sharpening and clarity. CLICK HERE to learn more about Adobe Lightroom. Ocean Boats : Shot with a Nikon D3 and 24-70 f2.8 Nikon lens. Processed using Lightroom.

This was taken in Auckland New Zealand about a week ago. I really like how the peak of the hill pops through the mist. The image was taken on a Nikon D3 and a 24-70mm f2.8 lens. I used the processing to help simplify the shot, and also bring out the hill top. The color was added by tinted gradient filters used on the top and botton of the image. I also used Lightroom to brush in some warm light across the misty horizon. CLICK HERE to learn more about Adobe Lightroom.
